“As I was walking around the UW campus on a beautiful autumn afternoon, I was struck by the light hitting the top of this clock tower on Music Hall, as well as the Humanities Building behind it. This Victorian Gothic building was built in 1878 and was initially named Assembly Hall. To me, this looks like it could be an old building or church in a thousand different places around the world, which is part of why I really wanted to paint it. Although I did not attend the UW-Madison, it’s been very interesting to learn about its history and enjoy its beauty. The wide variety of architecture, landscaping, and lakes makes it a terrific source of inspiration. Enjoy!” -Steven Kozar
