“This is the East Washington bridge on the Yahara River in Madison, Wisconsin. Even though I painted this in 2004, this bridge has already been replaced with a newer, larger one. The new bridge looks similar, but it has room for pedestrians to walk underneath. This was the first in an ongoing series of paintings of the various Madison bridges and waterways.
