“I painted this in 2004 when this amazing sculpture was first introduced to the public in Chicago’s Millennium Park. I was there at sunrise on a Saturday morning with just a few other visitors. I’ve always enjoyed the challenge of painting shiny, reflective things, and I’ve enjoyed depicting architecture ever since I was in elementary school. Working on this painting was a unique experience for me, and I’m quite pleased with the way it turned out. The original painting is 19.5″ x 26.75,” but I decided to reproduce it on a much smaller (and more affordable) scale. Enjoy!” -Steven Kozar
