“In March of 2014, I finally found a few hours to go and photograph this old church before all the snow melted. I drove there, took a bunch of photos, and then drove off within 10 or 15 minutes (and blasted the heater in my car!). As I got just a few miles away, I saw the dramatic sky in my rearview mirror and immediately turned around to go back. This is the scene I captured before it got too dark. The resulting watercolor painting required months of work and countless layers of color before I felt that I had adequately captured the essence of this beautiful landscape. Enjoy!” -Steven Kozar
