“This is an early morning scene in my neighborhood; I noticed the dramatic sunrise and discovered this great composition after grabbing my cameras and heading down the street. This is another painting that came about because the sky was so beautiful. It turned an ordinary scene into something sublime. I walked down this way once or twice a day as I take our dogs for a walk, and I always think about how I’ve immortalized this scene in watercolor! I’m often attracted to shiny, reflective surfaces; even a road can become visually interesting once a summer rainstorm has drifted overhead. Enjoy!” -Steven Kozar
