Description
Signed, but not numbered, open edition print of the watercolor “Sledding at the Brigham Farm.” Image size is 7.25″ x 16.”
“Ebenezer Brigham was the first white settler in the part of Wisconsin where I lived from about 1987 to 2003. A very remote descendant of his, as well as two of my own children, are depicted in this real-life scene. The real subject of this painting, however, is the wonderful late afternoon light of winter. I must admit a certain fondness for those cheap plastic sleds, especially when they provide an opportunity to capture the subtle effects of sunlight as it casts a red glow on the snow.” -Steven Kozar
