Description
Signed, but not numbered, giclee print reproduced from the original oil painting “Winter Sunrise-Sugar River #1.” Image size is 11″ x 11.”
“Very early on a cold winter morning, I went to a certain location in order to capture the sunrise over a creek. After a brief appearance, the sun became covered by clouds. Disappointed and cold, I packed up my camera equipment and hiked back to the car. Driving home, I saw the sun breaking through the clouds, so I turned down a road that followed a river (the Sugar River)-hoping to get some good photos. After a few miles, I pulled off the road and hiked into the woods, where I found one spectacular scene after another. This is the second painting from that day (the other two are ‘Winter Solitude’ and ‘Winter Sunrise-Sugar River #2’). This view is slightly altered from that of ‘Winter Solitude;’ there’s a small tributary joining the river at this spot, which had a mirror-like appearance that morning.” -Steven Kozar
